Light Weight Coated (LWC)
About this grade

What it is.

LWC exists to carry a lot of pages without carrying a lot of weight. At 58 to 80 g/m² it holds opacity from 86 % up to 91 % — enough that a heavily illustrated page does not read through — while keeping bulk around 0.84 to 0.89 cm³/g so the finished magazine stays thin.

Roughness at 2.6 to 2.8 µm PPS and smoothness at 300 seconds or better are what make it print cleanly on heatset web at speed.

Typical applications — Magazines, catalogues, inserts, high-page-count publication work
